TNW & LevelUp Ventures Code of Conduct Addendum

As residents and members, we respect the TNW official code of conduct. With respect to rule #7 (non-poaching), this means that the TNW office and Slack channel should not be used for job offers with the intent to recruit.

LevelUp Ventures core service

LevelUp’s core service is centred around recruiting and talent acquisition for startups & scaleups. Simply ignoring all companies that are part of the TNW community would prevent us from reaching a significant part of the tech talent in NL.

We are not a recruiting agency.
We are not in the business of ‘shipping CV’s’ or poaching people away with the purpose to sell them to the highest bidder or add them to our own database. Instead, our talent acquisition experts are part of the team of the customers we work for, similar to what freelance recruiters would do. And work with the CRM and ATS systems of these customers.

TNW Code of Conduct additions & clarifications

Whenever LevelUp employees are representing one of our customers, this employee will behave as an employee of that company.

In case that customer is part of the TNW community, we will behave in line with the TNW code of conduct.

In case If that customer company is not part of the TNW community, they will behave as if they are not part of the TNW community:

  • They might occasionally contact employees who are working for a TNW company to check whether they are open for job opportunities;
  • They will only do so through from the email domain, or through communication channels of such (non-TNW) company;
  • They will never use the TNW slack or other channels privately reserved for the TNW community (as the non-TNW would not have access to such channels either).

When it comes to
recruiting for new LevelUp employees, we will adhere to the code of conduct like any other resident.
